God hears our concerns:
A Mourning Dove Chat
Oh, peaceful bird
You are more graceful than the pigeon
as you fly along,
but we’ve heard your sorrowful song.
You repeat it all day long.
We wonder what grief or heartache came.
Oh, what’s to blame
for these plaintive lamentations?
Oh, mourning dove,
If we could hear
with God’s ear
we’d find this same sad song resound
in many people’s hearts.
God’s children aren’t immune
from sorrow, pain and grief,
but He has promised them relief.
He will be with them through the storm.
With His Presence a new song will form.
For them your tune will be embellished
with the joyful cadences of the lark.
Weeping may remain for a night.
At times it may be very dark,
But rejoicing comes in the morning.
