We are glad that Spring is finally here!
It’s Growing Time!
There’s a lavishness about Spring. We see thousands of blossoms on the apple trees, rows and rows of bright tulips, beds of purple iris, white violets hiding in the grass, and even an abundance of golden dandelions. There is the beauty of the lilacs and the trees are splendid in their new leaves. Oh Lord, You’ve dressed all nature in party clothes to celebrate Spring!
It’s enjoyable to see all of Spring’s sudden growth with new shoots coming up in the flower bed and tiny sprouts in the vegetable garden. Each year as I discovered new leaves on my favorite Tropicana rose, you would have heard me exclaim, “It’s growing! It’s growing!” This always made me so happy.
And Lord, You’re a Gardener too! Besides taking care of the lilies, You are the Gardener of our souls. You tenderly provide for our needs, care for us, and watch over us. You check on our spiritual progress. I know You are happy when You can exclaim, “She’s growing! He’s growing!” You said in Your Word that this would make You rejoice.
“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” – 2 Peter 3:18
“He will rejoice over you with gladness. He will quiet you with His love. He will rejoice over you with singing.” – Zephaniah 3:17

Spring Is Here!
Almighty God, You’ve been creating again!
The bare brown branches of the tree outside our window
are now dressed in millions of bright green leaves.
Here and there we see colorful patches of tulips, peonies and lilacs.
The apple tree is covered with beautiful blossoms,
And the lawn is a deep green.
You’ve been creating Spring!
Our world has been renewed by Your colorful creating touch.
Great Creator, You want to bring a Springtime renewal into our hearts also:
to strengthen our relationship with You
to refresh us with living Words from Your book,
and to bring joy to our waiting hearts as You manifest Your goodness and greatness.
Oh its wonderful when You create Spring in our hearts!
“Create in me a clean heart, o God, and renew a right spirit within me.” Psalm 51:10
